Effective April 1, 2020 the only licensed child care programs that are allowed to operate in NC are those which have agreed to meet additional health, safety, and other requirements specified by the NC Division of Child Development and Early Education (DCDEE) and have been specifically authorized by DCDEE to remain open in April and May 2020.

Rainbow Childcare in Trenton, NC and Pollocksville Presbyterian in Pollocksville, NC have met the requirements and are opened as of April 1, 2020.


The NC Pre-K Program is designed to provide high-quality educational experiences to enhance school readiness for eligible four-year old children.

The Dolly Parton Imagination Library provides a free book, once per month, to each child in your family until age five! Books are delivered directly to your home in your child's name!
The Triple P - Positive Parent Program gives parents simple and practical strategies to help build strong, healthy relationships, confidently manage their children's behavior, and prevent problems from developing.

Child Care Resource & Referral refers to a interrelated set of services to families, child care providers, employers, and communities. Services are available in each of NC's 100 counties throughout the state.

NC PRE-K Highlights
JCPFC proudly serves over 70 children in five classrooms! Children participating in this program receive free transportation, breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snack. All teachers are Pre-K certified and teaching assistants all meet minimum requirements or more.
